BCCR's logo

The Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research (BCCR) is a joint climate research venture between the University of Bergen (UoB), the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) and the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center (NERSC).
The BCCR integrates observationalists and modellers in a concerted interdisciplinary research effort with the ambition to be a world-class centre on studies of high-latitude climate change.
The BCCR is the largest climate research group in Norway. In 2002 it was awarded the status of a national Center of Excellence by the Research Council of Norway.
